Was up past the border today, still too many speed cameras to get your foot down

As HAB5000 says, the drive through the highlands is cracking! Road around Loch Lomand and up to Oban is great

O, and howdy to Norm! Didnt know you posted on here too?

Hey Norm! Hope you are well.

Those cobbled roads are everywhere in Edinburgh. The noise from the car when you drive over them is horrible. A constant brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr that just goes on and on. They are lethal in the wet too, as slippery as ice! Pretty good if you are on a horse though

My wife and I were in Edinburgh about 2 months ago. We were stranded for an extra 8 days by the volcano (we were in Europe for 22 days). It was one of the best vacations we have ever had. We took several day trips out of Edinburgh with Rabies Tours and had a great time. I still cant believe our luck to be stranded in such a wonderful place.
We want to go back sometime and go to the northern islands.

Now this sounds like more sense than a 300SL.

All you have to do then is move North from the smoke and get a garage....

Thanks! The centre panel and rear lights were replaced by the previous owner before I got the car but that was about 12 years ago.

Some kind of British link this? Planning on going to Edinburgh, and thought I would go by plane(and feet/taxi), but now I got the idea to bring my Carrera 2. Would be very nice to meet some GB friends who share this passion.
Are the roads in the area nice?
Best regards from a "brother" up north (Norway)

Oth, if you do make it to Edinburgh, PM me. The best roads are in the Highlands, though there is some Ok ones nearEdinburgh

You'll feel at home in the Hebrides- The Norwegians have a huge historical legacy there - many place names are Norse/Viking!
