Hi y'all,

My speedometer looks nasty when it's night because the black paint has chipped away (or has been flaked off by heat, time, life or otherwise) and the light shines through.

What's the correct way to re-pain this face?

Can I access the face easily and repaint - use a Sharpy, etc?

I have found North Hollywood Speedometer quite reasonable for such repairs. Not sure it's worth the time or risk to DIY.
