Has anyone replaced a 964 rear window with one from a 993? Is this a simple remove & replace?
Would like to eliminate the 964s center break light visual obstruction and have the 993 style break light.

I wasnt attempting humor. I have never heard of an exploding 964 rear window. Whats that? Another 993 exploding rear window thread going on right now on the 993 forum??

Some day I would like to replace my rear window too. The 3rd brake light blocks my rear vision. Take a look at these threads. I think the first one is closest to what you are looking for.

My UK 3.3 Turbo (late '92 model) doesn't have a high level brake light - so there must be an alternative part without the brake light. Whether it's available any more is another thing entirely though!

Thanks Rob for the helpful links. I checked-out the first one...good to know you can dremmel the black ring off (at least sundog had great success doing that)?!

I replaced the bulb a couple months back, here's a pic of what the rear glass looks like with the light off.

That light looks poor at best.
Id defo change the window, either fit a euro style back window that has no 3rd brakelight.
or as you asked a 993 hrw will fit a 964.
