Default Returned the favour thirty years on

About thirty years ago my friend Drew introduced me to 911s and let me drive is 68 911 L.

Today I was able to return that favour when we met for coffee and he got behind the wheel of my 964.

As it is with all true friends, the many years since we've been together seemed to melt away and we had a fine visit. Made all the better by getting him back behind the wheel of a 911 after far too long.

Cars, coffee and old friends. Today was a good day.

I am also a member of the "thirty years ago" club. It's amazing that so much time has flown by, but when you see an old pal again you pick right back up. At least for us guys, since we never really grew up , it's easier to reconnect!

A bit less happy but I had a friend from about 15 years ago who introduced me to his 964 C4 Cab and totally addicted me to the idea of owning one - unfortunately last year he committed suicide by jumping from a car parking building to land beside his car - it is a pretty dreary and dismal thing to think about but every day I drive my car I think about him and how he gave me the bug to own one - so he lives on in my car - means his memory is still fresh. Sad but good. Porsches and Friends :-)

Dave - That's a terrific story. Thanks for sharing.
