Default Low on fuel

I have never run out of fuel in my car so far, but just out of curiousity, is there a "low on fuel" warning light and if so how many gallons/miles is left when the light comes on?

Yes, it's an orange light in the Fuel/Oil Level gauge. It looks like a gas pump. I believe you have a 2 gallon reserve, which is standard.

My low fuel warning is when the guage reaches 1/2 way. It cost too much money to fill that giant tank when it gets near empty

Gas is CDN$0.98/litre (or 0.65 pence per litre) here in Alberta.

They don't sell petrol in Canada.

Thanks for the reminder to fill up the car before I cross the border into Canada when I go for the Montreal GP. It's $1/gallon more than what we pay in NY State.

Mine is $1.15 per litre, roughly $100.00 to fill the Pcar. Almost a hunder for my H3 and close to $100 for my wife Mercedes.

I fill the truck 4 times a month, the wife fills 4 times a month and I fill the Pcar once a month.

Come to think of it, its close to a mortgage payment per month in just gasoline. Blahhhh

and when that light comes on the big red ! light comes on at the same time. Not the sort of thing you want to see when braking from three figures while on the track. Nearly soiled myself the first time it happened. .

If I want to feel better about the 964, I jump in the x5 and take it to the pumps. Last week was £105 and light wasn't even on yet. For the 1st time with my cars, its cheaper to take the 64 which is a good excuse when the sun comes out .... Works for me!
