Default Problem with TIPTRONIC gearbox

Hi guys.

I've got a problem with my Tip gearbox.

When the engine is very hot, and you put R, if you break, the oil pressure goes under 1 and the light switch on (it's normal, I know), but the car vibrates and you can gear a strange noise, but if you go faster in R, It doesn't sound.

¿It's normal?

P.S: oil gearbox was changed 1-2 years ago (Helix TA) in Porsche Service.

Hi

I remember you posted on a thread were I was asking about tiptronic fluid levels.

Yesterday, I have added what I've found to the DIY section here. Have you checked the levels recently?

I think that it's correct. I will check it when a pelicanparts delivery arrives.!!

But I don't know if this is normal, or not.

I'm not sure i am reading your post correctly McQueen..............but the oil pressure light shouldnt really come on unless you are braking very very hard and even then only briefly.

Is the strange noise you hear a whirring? If so it sounds like your torque converter is tired or maybe insufficient ATF is being pumped. Get the ATF level right to start with.

This sounds like it could be an idle speed problem. How is the idle when you hear the sound? If the engine speed gets too low, it can vibrate and the gears can chatter. Cleaning the idle control valve is the successful fix by most accounts (never needed to clean mine).

Yeah, the light only comes for some seconds, because oil pressure go under 1, but for a second, I supposed that i had a problem with a the sensor idle, but in the service book says that this is normal (The oil pressure light)

When the gearbox do "rrrrrr" is when the idle go under 800 rpm. I guess that i've got a problem with idle sensor. ¿Where it's located?¿How could I clean it?

Regards guys.

Still looks like a torque converter and/or oil problem to me.

I think that it isn't a problem with torque converter, because, I'ts when the car is near to stall,. Because of the low RPM. I think that I could have a problem with Idle sensor. ¿How can I clean it?. I will check my level of fluid too.

what happens is that when you put R and engine is very hot, tiptronic gearbox get de idle down. So I suppose that it have to be a problem with RPM sensor. or ATF fluid...
