Default Power steering hose

I noticed a brownish oil on my driveway recently and discovered that I had power steering fluid leaking from the car. I think I found the hose that could be the problem. The hose from the pump over the fuel filter. The pump to reservoir hose seems fine.

I cannot find that hose on Pelicanparts. Any advice on where I can find that hose and part #? I have a 91' 964 Carrera 4

The hose that leaked on mine is the short one from the reservoir to the pump. It was weeping thru the hose.

Oh that may be hard to change i think. It turns into a hard line and goes all the way into the back of the engine compartment. Make sure its not the line from the resevior because like Jim's mine was all cracked in the bends.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had really hoped that it was the shorter hose but after more checking over the weekend I have confirmed that it is the longer hose. I put in a call to my local dealership and they said that the pump to rack hose comes in 3 pieces and I will need the first piece which screws into a hard line somewhere behind the airfilter. $182 for the hose. Any suggestions for other places to source the hose?

Sunset Imports 503.641.8600 or 800.346.0182
They charge 15% above cost.
They generally take a while to source parts that are not in stock, but their prices are great.

Newton Motorsports 973.383.2626
These guys have access to a large warehouse of parts. They almost always have the parts that I need. They do charge more, but I can drive there so the shipping is naught; for me. It's about 2 hrs from you.
They will also deal on price. I can get them to come very close to Sunset's price, but I hate making the call to Sunset just to get a price quote. Seems dishonest to me. However, if they have a long lead time I then call Newton, have a price to work from and generally do quite well there.

Plus I like the drive down there! (with the p-car, of course)

I bought that hose for mine about 5 years ago thinking it was the one leaking. I think it was only about $50 from Sunset back then. I still have it just in case it ever does leak. I replaced the short one and the leak stopped.

Thanks Guys, appreciate the quick response. Has anyone ever ordered from www.porscheoemparts.com? Would you recommend ordering from them? I found the hose on there for $123. I found the part number in the Porsche parts catalog, 964 347 447 04, if anyone ever needs it.

@ tim911pcar, I just ordered the hose from porscheoemparts.com earlier yesterday :-( - if only I waited a few hours. Thanks, I appreciate you reaching out. I am also a newbee on rennlist - just out of curiosity, why are you doing a power steering delete?
