These UK RS shocks do they fit cars after the change?
Guys if I remember correctly there was a change in the rear suspension around 1990-1991.
I have these for sale and a guy is interested
How do I tell if they will fot the earlier or later cars?
Cheers

Do you mean the mounts in the car? or can I tell by looking at the top of these
these were not off my car and the mounts are not with them.
I bought them from a PH advert decribed as from a UK 964 RS

see if they have a part number on them and look it up maybe at a vendor. The length is the only difference I think. My 9-90 build date Cab has the newer style if that helps. The rear ones are the different size.

Reading Adrian's book it says the suspension change occurred on Nov 1 1990. After that date the mounts were different and the rears were longer by 37.2 mm (1.5").
If your talking about the RS or Cup they were shorter than the post Nov 1 1990 ones and used monoball mounts at the tops. Was your prospective buyer putting them on a RS? If so manufacturing date wouldn't matter anyway and if not they won't fit.

Are the shock towers of a different height or is it just the length if the damper rod?
