Default Bilstein Install Quick Question

On the rears there is only a single lower collar (the part that the spring perch sits on) but on the front there are two (looks like you can lock the fronts in place. Is this normal? Will the rears rotate from bumps?

I had this same question when I did mine. Apparently the spring compression keeps the single collar in place.

I thought the same thing when I first did mine. I contacted the vendor that I bought them from and they agreed that the rear should have a locking collar and sent them to me. Admittedly I do not know if they are essential but if the front has them logic says the rears should too. The only disadvantage is that it slightly reduces perch adjustability at the rear since the threading on the bodies is rather limited.

I wouldn't worry about it. The factory's shocks do not have locks on the collars either. (ref PET section 402-00)
