Valve adjustment..sounds fine?
Wait for noise, or just do it? I am right on the 15k interval, do not drive the car very much but will be on the track a few times this summer. Will I get better performance? Thanks for you advice

Valves have a tendency to get progressively tighter, so you won't hear if a valve is too tight. Remember tight is bad (chance of burning). I would suggest doing the valve adjustment on the factory schedule.

Valves can loosen or tigthen depending on what is happening to them. Check more often than the factory interval if the engine sees track time.
Valve clearance affects valve timing. Someone with a cad program and the cam profile can probably calculate the error in the valve timing based on the error in setting the valve cleareance.
You want each cylinder pulling equally for optimal engine breathing and maximum safe horsepower. Getting the valves spot-on does make a difference in performance.

When I performed my valve adjustment in December, I found a few valves loose, but more importantly found 2 valves that were very tight. As Springer points out, these are the ones to worry about, for fear of a burned valve.
Thus, I would do the valve check/adjustment - especially if you didn't do the last service personally.
Have fun.
