Transmission mount

Are there any other options for a C4 other than stock?
thanks
Dwane

Yes. There is a harder sport option - I'll have to check a p/n for you.

I think this is the RS item Marc is thinking about:

Yes, that looks right but IIRC some of C2 parts do not work on a C4 but there is a similar one that will.

Here we are; Joey was right.

You might ping DanJ about this. He put them in his C2 and it transmitted so much driveline noise that the car became an entirely different beast. Loud like a track car. (but that might be what you want...not sure)

Have a look at carnewal.be, under "upgrades, P93". They have two different factory rubber bushings that are like stock, but with a stiffer rubber. One is RS and the other is CUP/RSR. If it's not a race car only these bushings are better than the delrin version above. You should be able to buy these parts from Porsche, but I don't have the parts number.

I have also seen a product in an ad from turbokraft.com. They have made a bushing from the same idea as the RS engine mounts. The bushing is aluminium and solid but with a small core of rubber to reduce noice and vibrations. The pricing was good to compared to the factory bushings so this is the one I'm thinking of right now. You can't find it on their website but there's a pic of it in their ads in Excellence or 911 & Porsche world. Turbokraft says it's stiff as the RSR/Cup version, cost is 145 USD.
Has anyone tried it?

The carnewal ones say theyre for Carrera 2 only

Is there a reason they dont fit the C4?

I don't know why not for C4. But now when I think about it, aren't the two bushings above for replacing the two small rubber bushings holding the little damper/bracket to the transmission carrier? And not the big tranny mount I mean. And maybe these small bushings aren't the same due to the other gearbox in the C4, because I think the hoel carrier looks different?

The big mount for the RS is 964.375.055.80. The RSR rubber is probably a Porsche Motorsport part.
