Default CV boots.... in the C4, are the front inner and outers identical to rears?

Hi guys, I'm doing EVO uprights and discovered ripped CV boots. I need to order inner and outer boots for my front. Does anybody know if the inner and outer boots are identical for the rear drive as well as the front drive??

thnks

Oh, BTW, are these boots same as on the 993 C4?

thnks in advance

Yes, Pelican has great kit that comes with the grease, boots, clamps, and C-clips (I found the C-clips to be the wrong size though...). The kit is around $12 if I remember right. I pulled the half shafts my self and took them to my P-car shop to have them cleaned and put back together.

I do not know about them being the same as the 993 C4 however. The kit should say on Pelican if it is for both.

Good luck with the Half shaft nut, it a beast to get off. A sliding t-bar, lots of heat and a friend standing on the brake pedal with the car running is your best bet.

Good luck.

Front Inner, Rear Inner and Outer are all the same for 964/993/993TT. I'd wager they're also on the 928 rear as well as the part no. is 928-332-293-02-M60.
Front Outer are different. 964-349-291-00-M203.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, looks like the only odd-ball on the C4's, 964/965/993, is the front outer boot.
Thanks.

I just repaired mine on my SC and used white gas used for coleman stoves to clean the parts off. I'm sure any type of gas would disolve the greese real fast, but I used it because it was low odor. Some find it a messy job, but if you do the work with a cardboard box and a few rags it is pretty painless.

If you are replacing the bolts, you can save some money buying them directly from a nut/bolt supplier such as mcmaster for under $20 instead of 1.50 a bolt. I think this is the right bolt (but I'm not sure of the thread pitch): 91290A448 Metric Class 12.9 Socket Head Cap Screw Alloy Stl, M8 Thread, 50mm Length, 1.25mm Pitch In stock at $8.02 per Pack This product is sold in Packs of 25

Huh.
In this forum, (of a short production run series,) there are two WB cab owners (rarer still), ...both named Jaime.

Long odds, I make that.
