Thought I would share this interesting find...

We like to upgrade our cars with air duct scoops and clear corner lights, but I've never seen these (on a 964)!

I'm not sure they are pedestrian friendly!!!

Not so pretty maybe but it looks a little cool! Especially on a wide body model.

Yes I do, and us English have a sence of humour!!

I think that is the 3.8 RS front splitter. Very cool.

I think the OP is referring to the side-marker-delete/built-in canards. That's the first time I've seen that particiular take. Usually, they're the bolt-on type or formed into the bumper. Cool!

The splitter appears to be the Techart 3-piece. The 3.8 is slightly different and similar to mine--basically, a couple of winglets riveted to the stock splitter.

Uhm ... I've seen quite a few episodes of Top Gear and would beg to differ. :p

Thanks for the clarification.

That is my favorite currently produced splitter for the 964. I think its off the 3.8 RSR. I've got the po'boy's version for the narrowbody cars on my 964.

Thanks Joey,

My bad, sorry for the confusion, didn't know the correct word... I was scratching my head thinking about how to describe what those things are... I knew there was some kool aero, race word? Canard.

(I highlighted a canard in the third picture)

This past winter we were treated to a couple excellent track car build-ups (Marc and Kai's cars both quickly come to mind)...I love looking at 964 track cars!

More canard pictures....what a wonderful looking 964 racer!

Then surely that proves his point!

Does anyone know, I presume with data, whether these canards bring a significant front end grip and stability improvement to a 964....either on their own or in conjunction with a front spliter (and if the latter is required, which combo works best)?
