Is there a Rear Trailing Arm Removal DIY
Looking for any details on how to remove the rear trailing arm. I arm sure many have done it since I see a lot have put in new bushings. Any assistance is appreciated.

Let me see:
- Detach sway bar - Remove sharkfin cover - Remove rotors and calipers (have a dish to catch brake fluid) - Disconnect parking brake - Detach brake line, sensor wire and parking brake cable from trailing arm - Unbolt hub nut - With some extra hands for support, remove main trailing arm bolts and slide it off the axle - Support axles using wire, zip ties, etc. Don't let them sag and put downward force on the inner CV Take pictures of components prior to disassembly if you don't have a photographic memory. Torque for the main bolts is 147 lbs, 339 for the axle nut. While you've got it apart, check the wheel bearings. I mean, if you're going to go to this much trouble ... Good luck! |
Thanks Joey.
