Dave: Thanks , I'm going to try fixing what I have, but I will keep your offer in mind.
HiWind: Mine have been glued previously, but the clips are mostly intact. I have a long winter to perfect my epoxy skills. I've ordered the new clips and all the rubber trim as mine were beyond rejuvenation.

Good news ... It likely won't be neat - globs seldom are - but key is to make it stick.
It's completely hidden after all.
Oh yes, a bit of 'keying'/roughening around the spot helped too with gritty paper.
