What year is your Turbo? What do you mean by an inertia switch?

Hi its a 1991 model and the inertia switch is a safety switch that stops the fuel to the engine as i was told and bcs something has trigered it i must find it to reset it.

Ok,
There is a boost pressure sensorcut off in the back of intercooler It cuts fuel pumps off in an over boost conditon. These do fail and can do what you describe.

there is a ground wire (brown) which you should pull off and ground .Try to start and we go from there.

this is the smaller sensor next to one with the orange cover (sender to boost gauge)

that could be the boost pressure sender which is electronic ( the one with orange rubber cover in the back of the intercooler.) Check the wiring or the sender might be bad.
