I am a new owner of a pristine blue metallic C2, boy do I love that car !! but the oil level iindicator
gives me the jitters, when driving the car it stays in the red area, so I poured in a litre, the indicator went almost off the scale... but reading the Blueheeler post set my mind at ease thanks !
In planes I am used at gauges well in the green... but 911's are a different breed

If your oil guage is off the scale with a warm engine at idle, you probably should drain a bit out. It can screw your idle up if it's overfilled. I knew that when mine was slightly overfilled during a service but thought I could get away with it. I was wrong, and had to clean ISV / AFM a month later.
