NEW Koni's for the 964

Seems there's been some progress in getting Koni to support the "later" cars. It feels weird to refer to my car as "later". : )

In any case - got an email from Paragon stating...

"We’ve begged and pleaded with Koni for YEARS to produce shocks for the 964 and later 911. Well, we guess they finally got tired of our belly aching and produced products for the 964, 993 and 996. Best of all they are available in both Sport Yellow and the new, revolutionary FSD technology. We will begin receiving these in the next two weeks so put your order in now!"

Doesn't help me, and I have no affiliation - I"m happy with my H&R/Bistein set up - but might help others.

LOL, i wrote the type and my 911 is a 73S so almost EVERYTHING is "later".

What is "FSD Technology?"

That's pretty cool to hear...
...are they threaded like stock?

I have checked a couple places since I already have Koni's on the rear and was planning to do the cartridges in the near future. Seems that there are only a few made and prices are at least $325 a shock. That is steep when you can find the cartridge versions for closer to $190. Now I am torn. I would love to have the new full strut, but the cost is just too much.

Yea same here, these would have to come out just as i am about to redo my suspension but im afraid they would be just a little out of my budget right now.

pardon the questions - opinions welcome:
are they that much better for the price........and what fits my car (turbo look cab, turbo suspension)....could not find a unit on posters website....
ride height?

I have Koni inserts on my 964 and they are great. I like the fact they are easily adjustable for rebound.

But what about those with a 89/90 964? They still don't appear to do them for the rears of our cars, so I can't any to match my front Koni sports.

I got a new pair for the rear for the '90. They were done at one time. Takes some searching.

The 8641-1365 Sport "cut the strut" insert in still available. Not sure if it will be phased out in time, but for now at least, it's on the shelf.

If you found some 8241-1104 Sport units that's quite the feat. They've been discontinued for several years. We have one...yes, one in stock. Not sure how that happened but there you go. If someone finds another single we can make a pair!
