Rear Spoiler won't close all way down
Has anyone encountered this problem before? Spoiler goes up but won't close all the way down. It has about 2 inches to go before it is fully closed. I've tried to manually close it but it won't close all the way. Appreciate any info on this. Thanks in advance.

I would say check to make sure the plastic flap the extends underneath the wing hasn't broken and is getting the way. You may also check the gear teath when it is in the up position to see if any of them are broken lower down.

Microswitch?
Also, there's a microswitch to check. It's under the plastic cover on the driver's side of the engine lid, and shuts off the motor when the lid is 'closed'. Maybe it got readjusted somehow?
Just a thought.

Just remove the plastic cover and check that the cut off switch is adjusted correctly.

You´ll hear a small click in the switch if you push down the lever with you finger.
If the spoiler pushes the lever too early the spoiler will stop retracting.
Might have to remove the plastic cover to see the switch, it´s just one screw on one side and a couple of clips on the other.

This thread suggests I'm not alone on the spoiler issue. Mine recently refuses to retract fully, either automatically or with the switch. Always has a an inch or so more to drop but won't close completely.
This what it looks like when down:
Removing the spoiler motor cover reveals this - picture below is the mechanism with the spoiler in the up postion.
And in the next is the mechanism with the spoiler down/closed.
I can't see how the microswitch lever can be adjusted when the spoiler is down - or am I missing the bleeding obvious?
Edited to add: The spoiler seems lower on the RH side when down.

Essentially look for a stud like that... and turn it.

The pics are in the correct order - I was very careful about getting that right
There is a white plastic threaded screw adjuster bu I can't see how that would help the closing issue.
Its only a small problem, and the thing works at speed as it should BUT it just offends my OCD issues by not being perfect

"2. Spoiler retracted all but 1/2" on one side. Folding vain under grill slide to one side and was hanging up the scissor mechanism."
Thanks for that - fingers crossed that this might be my issue. Will check and report back.
Cheers

To add to TBennett's comments - the close limit switch is not in your photos, it's located to the rear of the gear mechanism and there is a threaded adjustment bolt that contacts the arm of the limit switch. Look again and you'll see this limit further up when the eng. deck lid is open.
