Default rare treat: 100 mile '89 C4

There I was today standing in front of a brand new 964 as delivered from the factory. 100 miles exactly on the odometer. It brought back memories of when I once stood in front of these beautiful things when they were fresh from the factory. Back in the day, before Rennlist existed I would lurk around the dealership… now I have Rennlist! I enjoyed looking at all the correct trim pieces, untouched interior, seeing nubs on the tires… and the factory wasn’t afraid to use cosmoline . This baby is well protected.

Next up… 964 Lightweight!

That is amazing!

These cars do exist out there from private collectors or even owners that never run these cars. But did you say that this was just delievered new from the factory?

Tell me where was this? some nice cars next to it....993t and 356b/c

I want too!

Crazy, stuff.

Saw a 73 T with around 500 miles on it for sale. Big money...

Interesting how some people buy them and put them in moth *****.

Awesome! I want it too. It looks like it's for sale, any idea what they are asking?

Nice post, that car is a beauty. It was at the Ingram collection in Durham, NC - open for a special viewing to PCA members on Saturday. What a collection they had inside - no cameras allowed in though. There was a 1994 speedster with 26 miles on it and a few others with very low mileage. The one in the following pic is an RS4 racer that weighs only 1100 pounds! The owner opened the door and let us feel how light it was - amazing car. A great day to be a Porsche fan. A special thanks to my neighbor for inviting me along!

I think the C4RS is 1100Kgs, not 1100 pounds.
Awesome car, though.

I can't thank the Ingrams, Road Scholars, and PCA enough for allowing not only me, but also my father and son to see and hear such amazing cars.

As DD mentions, there was a wonderful display of past and present in the parking lot... but what was inside was nothing short of breath taking. Sleeping inside an industrial warehouse (albeit stunning decorated) was... Porsche #17, various 356s, RS's, Speedsters, numerous Turbos, 959, Carerra LWT... on and on.

DD, pace yourself, you have to reveal Porsche **** slowly...

Regarding sourcing 100 mile 964, or the-best-of-the-best Porsche, contact: Road Scholars

DD,
I was probably standing feet from you, as I also heard Mr. Ingram mention the weight (and move the lwt. door back and forth). He probably meant kilos. Regardless, stunning.

Wow! Thanks.

I've never seen an untouched 964 before. So many thought thoughts popped to mind looking over your photos, like, "Too bad a really thorough photo series couldn't be made of this car just like you started"

eg, I was drawn to the oil line hose clamp positions, orientations.
(Wish I had that photo when installing my replacement lines.)

Udo,
That was a great event - I only put one pic on there I would love to have some pictures of the ones inside, but I guess keeping them sacred makes them that much more special. Next time we'll have to wear Rennlist handle nametags so I recognize who's who! (jk)

That is a beautiful car. I bought a 1989 C4 that was driven for 2700 miles 3 years ago. I paid a fortune but worth every penny.

Lower the ride height and ditch the flag mirrors.
