Default H&R Reds - I know, I know

I know this has been discussed ad nauseam but, I wanted to get impressions on 964 CAB owners who have gone with the Reds over Greens. I don't mind some harshness but I really don't want an uncomfortable ride.

Thanks and sorry for brining this up yet again!

Thanks Hawk,

That is what I am looking for. I just don't want to regret not going with the Greens. I hear that ride height is a bit higher and ride stiffer. I just wanted to get some impressions from someone who has the setup in a CAB.

Thanks again,
Justin

well, keep in mind road conditions will affect your satisfaction level a great deal too. Greens are a bit softer, from other discussions. I like the height on mine, and have it set at RS specs.

H&R coil-overs (reds) +adj sways. Not a cab but I love the handling street/track. Its the road surfaces you drive that make the difference in comfort. I'm pretty hardy but a lot of concrete freeway expansion joints really gets annoying. And I'm on 17" wheels.

Thanks Sturm,

I guess I just have to decide on the tradeoff...

Udo, the chart is great for engineering, but will not tell you how your butt feels in the car after a long drive on crappy roads.

Both the impressions and chart do help. Although, I keep finding myself alternating between the Greens and Reds...

I know, but it's a good reference point...

JDD- maybe your planned driving would help decide. I do 100% street right now and won't ever DE my cab so the only other option is Auto-x. I feel the stiffer springs would help me AX. I need to get my butt to an AX session, but the idea is still there and now so is the equipment. If you really just want a better spring with no aggressive driving planned, then go GREEN.

I've got the red springs on 17" Cup I's and they are fine for the street IMO. I'm in NE Phila and the roads suck.

Thanks guys! I think I will get off the fence and just order the Reds! I like the idea of autoX and will probably do a novice day next year (only time they will let my rollbar-less cab on the track).
