92 RUF BTR stage lll
I just joined this forum. I recently imported this car from Holland. It was done by RUF in 1992. I am having problems finding out if there are shops out there that have the capability of diagnosing/tuning this car. The best tuner in Calgary say that they can't access info for the ecu. Have talked to RUF in Germany, but that is getting to be a bit much because of lag time for parts etc. Anyone have any better ideas? Chris

I have had it to Riegel twice, they helped with a couple of parts, but they can't crack the ecu, both because of hardware, and software. I will put some pictures up in the next few days,

Have car in the air doing exhaust. Will take pics on the weekend and post then. A little more on the car. It started as an 89 C2, and was sent to RUF in Germany in 1992. Did full BTR Stagelll conversion. Few months later, it went back for body work, wide body, roll cage, etc. The car was parked the last few years, as the owner had passed away. His father sold the car on condition that the car left the country. I have all the original invoices, but of course , they are in German. Also have invoice from Renntech. I have owned two different 928's in the past, but this is my first turbo. I understand that there are not that many of these cars around, so when the opportunity came up, I kind of jumped on it without doing much research. Seem to have the car running better since replacing two air sensors, as suggested by Ruf in Germany. Seems to be rather violent when it comes to acceleration when I compare it to the 928. Took it to 275 kmh this am, and it wasn't stopping, but I got a little paranoid about getting caught(I'm 53, seemed to have lost some nerve). Thinking of doing a RUF shift kit, pedal covers, and mats, just to perk up the look a bit. It is deep blue, with charcoal interior. If anyone can read German, I would gladly post the invoices for someone to interpret, otherwise, I am going to pay someone to do it properly. Will post pics on Sunday. By the way, I am a stock broker, not a car broker. Later all, Chris
