Default 964 for sale - is this priced right?

I found this car for sale - No association:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...riced-27k.html

It seems a bit high in opinion - I have many of the same upgrades and a JIC cross suspension I would not think my 964 would be worth mid to high twenties.

Am I wrong, are the prices for well moded cars still in this range?

Too much. The farther afield you go with mods, the more they're a personal reflection of what that particular owner is trying achieve - and the less likely the entire package will appeal to somebody else.

Here's a good looking one for much less.

But I love that Rothsport shifter in the white car......

IMO 25k is a good price for that car. You couldn't reproduce what has been done there for 25k.
So the guestion is, do you want a car with those modifications and changes? If so, I'd say its priced reasonably, if not, then it will seem like too much.

Here's another example from Pelican, FWIW. Well sorted at a decent price.

I'd be more than happy to address any questions about my car which is the subject of this post. Everybody is free to determine what they think is fair. I challenge anyone to reproduce a car of this quality for 25k. Several aspects of this car are a matter of an individuals taste:

-manual steering
-short shifter/RS shift linkage
-935 mirrors
-sound deadner delete

I feel the car is a steal at this price because I have around 50k in the car. So I priced it recently at my rock bottom price of 25k which is half what I have invested (not counting emotionally)

There is just nothing more beautiful than a 964 with BBS RE's IMHO. But I am biased.

Aftermarket parts are never worth the same as what you put into it. That's why people say we sink money into the cars when we modify it. We don't do it for investment purposes (expecting a positive financial return) but because we want to. It's a personal thing. What the car is worth is going to be determined by the buyer and the seller. We can ask whatever we want for it.

Great looking car. Best of luck with the sale.

Quick question, what shifter is that (the **** assembly)?? At first I thought you had installed one of those sequential shifters, but you mention RS linkage.

It's a Rothsport shifter.

It is a Rothsport. I love it. I also changed the shift rods to 993RS. This made a huge improvement in my view. Rothsport is a great product and for whatever reason is not that well known on the forum. But trust me fellas, it is a very cool upgrade.

If I keep my car, I will really try to justify the price (after converting to CDN dollars).
