I was wondering where is the best place to buy the H4 upgrade kit including trim rings?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have checked a lot of different retailers, Vertex seems to have the best prices (no affiliation); if you come up with anything better, please let us know.

Ebay and the Pelican classifieds are also good options. I found my H4's on Ebay for $300 - brand new in pretty yellow Bosch boxes.

Most kits come with chrome rings. They are hard to take apart from the screws and paint. And don't let any of the old school 911 guys ever find out you painted the chrome rings - you'll be dead in no time!

My experience with trim rings is that they are harder to find. I got mine on Ebay (painted black!!) for $70 a couple of years ago and I consider myself lucky. Things may have changed since then though.

Vertex sells the H4's with paintable rings for $219.00 per each, and I think that includes the bulbs.

I did this conversion recently in Portland, if you want to see what I did with the wiring etc. Those dark Oregon nights are coming... (boo)
