Default Eibach spring kit

Anyone has experienced or know anything about Eibach Pro-Kit spring for Porsche. The reason I am asking is that there is a place that has them for $189.00 Canadian in Montreal, Quebec and I saw them listed at $330.00US on ebay so I was wondering if this would be a good kit to lower my car.

Thanks,

I think there are plenty of 964s with them fitted. They are a little softer than the, perhaps, slightly more popular H&R Greens and will only lower around 30mm (compared to the 40mm of the Greens). Maybe a better choice for bumpy roads.

Regards

Dave

Thumbs up

Hi, i've got Eibachs and Bilsteins fitted on mine, ride is superb not quite as hard as H&R's but suits the car and particularly the roads in my area. They only lower by 30mm and I am right on the end of adjustment to get the car looking low.
All in all I am very pleased with the setup

That's good to hear since I am planning that same change for my car during the winter. I too am concerned about the rough roads (potholes, etc) in my area so I didn't want the max lowering amount. Any other cautions/notes to pass along about your upgrade (or should I say "down"grade)? Thanks!

I had them on my previous 964 and generally liked them. They were good on the street, but soft on the track. They are definitely softer than the H&R reds I have on my current car. As far as quality, Eibach's been around for a long time and their products are very good.

I have ProKit for sale. $225.00 + shipping. I was going to use these over Koni's, but I found a lowering kit that used the stock springs/shocks/struts. I'll PM you. Just let me know if you are interested.

IMHO I think they're definitely too soft, especially at the front... have a look here

The flash is on bilstein eibach combo and i think its bob on, handles well and isnt too firm to make in uncomfy on poor roads.
And theres plenty of poor road surfaces about!

Hello dpepin,
I have a sense that I know the place you are talking about, and I am afraid I cut the grass from under your feet last week. I picked up the last set they had (that's what they told me anyways, you should check) for 189 $CAN which was indeed a good deal. Sorry about that if that's the route you were going to take. I'm now shopping around for the Bilsteins.

Always imho I think soft sprinqs usually (to achieve a respectable level of road-holding) need firm shocks and this doesn't make much confort.... better to have solid springs and shocks that are not too firm in compression (but adequate in return). The result will be a car which will be firm, with low rolling and good confort.

I wrote the above because of personal experience.... before I had Koni sports with Eibach Pros, now I have PSS10.... the difference in spring rates is enormous! Yet the confort, now, is MUCH better.....

Hey Ben did you get them from GPI.

By the way thanks to you all for your feedback, this is a great forum.

Thanks for the info. Can you help a dummy out? Why is there such a big range on the Eibach front springs? Are they that progressive? Am I missing something? I surely don't want a softer set than I have now.

So Eibach says.... the only thing I know is that they ARE soft!

I love my Eibachs, car drives smooth and I have one of the lowest non AP cars 964 I have ever seen.

But I thought the Eibach's were only 30 mm lowering. And what's a "non AP" car?
