Default 2010 Classic Le Mans - 964 content

I can’t even put into words how incredible Class Le Mans was…just the most incredible automotive experience I’ve ever had. Think of the best cars and coffee you’ve ever been to and multiply the car count by 1000. From the moment I left the train station in Le Mans and took the tram to the track, I saw nothing but classic cars. It’s as if they banned normal cars for the day and only allowed sports cars to be on the road. Wow, look at that, that’s cool, what car is that, nice color, wow that’s worth at least a million $, I like, holly **** is that a… it just never stopped. I was there for over 12 hours and the incredible display of car was nothing short of being completely over-whelming…the experience was also enhanced by the people I met throughout the day. Positive experience, after positive experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone was super friendly. Special thanks to fellow Rennlister Andy Roe for sharing the day with me, to Jeff for letting me sit in his RS (a first for me! – I need those seats!!!), Martin for answering all my RS questions, and I finally met the legend Doctor Knauf!

Some 964 content below, but please check out my Picasa album to see a small sampling of cars at the event! Wow…

Awesome experience! Thanks for sharing. Has been on my to do list for years.

It appeared that stunning Yellow RS was in a "For Sale" environment. Do you recall the asking price?

Again, Thanks for sharing your experience. Those Europeans are over the top with their automotive passions...

It was an RS-NGT. About 50,000km on the clock and the asking price was 85,OOO€. Looked in good condition and easily one of the more stunning cars for sale!

Great pics Udo! Hope you had a safe trip back home. It was a great day and I hope we can do it again sometime! I found it more interesting than the regular Le Mans!

I'll see if I can stick some of my photos up this evening!

Hi Udo

Great to meet and chat with you this weekend. As you know, it was my first time at the Classic too. What an event! Definitely going back in 2 year's time! Do you know how much that yellow N-GT went for in the end? Looked like a nice matching numbers car.

Great photos by the way. Really sum up the event. Only thing missing was a C4 Lightweight! Did you check out my website?

Best regards
Martin

Looking good!

Im planning on going to the next one, so I'm starting the research now!

I'll either be taking my C4 or a passenger ride in my friends 930 Turbo. Current route is to head from NE England over to Amersterdam (on the ferry) then down to Le Mans

Cant wait!
