Brake Rotors
Hey all,
I am looking for a source for new slotted and cryo-treated front rotors for track use as my current ones have developed some cracks. Cracks are not too bad as they don't join between the holes nor reach the rotor edge but I am thinking I'll need new rotors before the end of this season.
I have upgraded the front brakes to Big Reds using the kit from Pelican. According to Bill's excellent web site, all Big Reds use the same rotors (322 x 32) but I don't know the p/n for the rotors I need nor a good place to get them.
Any sources other than www.frozenrotors.com?
Thanks.
Marc

Not cryo but incredible price and perfect fitment on slotted rotors here:
http://brakeperformance.com/site/index.php?&ad=google
They will cast any rotor, any year, any model. Obviously you could just specify the P car that had as OE the 322x32 (3.6L Turbo) 993.351.425/426.10.
Hope that helps, or see the Pano 964 brake upgrade article for the full chart w/ parts #'s.

Free pads, a lifetime warranty against warping, free shipping, and a great price. Too good to be true or a great company? Time will tell and I will be sure to report.

You could try iRotors.com. I got a set of F/R and pads for the 993 I got last summer, before the legal issues arose, for about $625 delivered. They are slotted & drilled. I found these guys on eBay and took my Buy It Now offer of $550 + S/H for the kit. Still sitting in my garage though. Long story short - I bought a 993C4 Cab from a local dealer thinking I would avoid problems. Owner never paid off the bank that floor planned them. The bank came and seized the inventory but lucky for me the car is in a garage so it's B&E if they come and try to repo it. Dealer filed for bankruptcy after that and I sued. Won. Now waiting on required time to claim surety bond with the state of MO DOR. What a crock! The waiting period between judgement and filing claim and processing. In the mean time I have a ton of pieces part getting dusty. DOn't know if I will keep the car or let their bank come and get it ad start anew. Sigh!

Another suggestion would be to simply get a pair of real racing rotors such as AP or Alcon since these are FAR more durable than any OEM-grade or cryo-treated like item.
These come with billet aluminum hats so you save 3-4 lbs of unsprung weight, as well. One can do these in floating or non- floating, too.
We use, recommend, and sell the Wrightwood Racing ones having had excellent success with these on 964's for 10+ years.

same boat as you Mark
I have the 993 rear calipers and turbo front calipers for a year and I am waiting for a slotted solution for the front discs, the AP alloy hats will be the best but so expensive,
Steve maybe you can let us know the price with the adaptors as the AP discs are 332x32 , I was consedering buying the 928 gts and have them sloted ( same size and offset), the day some one is going to come with something of the shelf they will probably sell a lot of them, I have e-mailed brakesperformance waiting for an answer?!
