How about it? My car is missing that little gauge to the left cnter of the steering wheel! I like the intercooler too! How about the interior?

What are they like to drive? I have heard the air-cooled turbos are an experiment in turbo lag. I have no idea if that is true. 320 hp seems low IMHO. Isn’t Ninemeisters making significantly more hp NA? The TPC supercharger is +350.

Although I love the idea of a 964 turbo, I do not know the real world application.

You should spend more time in the 964 turbo forum.

Perhaps, but I am not sure words will explain the situation. The 3.3 turbo is 20 year old technology to be generous. So what is the allure compared to what tuners are doing now for less money and more hp? I am not being argumentative, I just do not understand.

Same reason you love your NA 911 over a Civic Si or an Acura TL or a Dodge Neon SRT4. HP and other published numbers do not do justice to the true performance of a 911...turbo or normally aspirated. I love NA engines, for their reliability and more immediate nature. But, the single turbo Porsche's are also great for thrills. Sure one can say it's turbo lag (the half empty crew), but I just say it's countdown for liftoff (the half full guys). 911's provide grin factors that are hard to match by any marque out there....turbo or not.

Phew that's pretty pennies. 993 turbo's are in that price range...same with 996 turbo's.

For that kind of money there is a lot of competition. That car has been listed many times and never gets very far. I say "good luck with that sale"

94's are a better car...

No doubt...why limit to the Porsche marque. That sort of money opens you up to Ferrari 355's, 308/328, Lotus Esprit TT, Maserati's etc. A little more and that gets you into a Lambo Gallardo or Ferrari 360!

I guess you don't know if you don't ask.

I agree that it must be hard to imagine what one of these "old" 964 turbos is really like. Some very simple bolt on mods get you 400 hp+. There is nothing more invigorating than sitting in one of those 15 year old rocket sleds enjoying the raw power and performance. You have to drive one to understand one.
