Ahem.

I must be the only newbie ever to have accumulated nearly 5000 posts before even getting his 964...

...but here it is (again). Yes, having let my beloved C2 go a couple of years ago, I have finally seen the light, done the right thing and bought it back again <insert Handel's Hallelujah Chorus here>.

Life's ever changing character has meant that the GT3 that replaced the 964 just isn't getting the use it ought. Track day season is upon us, and Paula's worsening MS problems mean that attending lots of track meetings is simply too difficult - much as we both love the GT3, especially on track, it's just not worth the upheaval that would be increasingly necessary.

Time to switch back to something that offers a different set of rewards that can be more easily accessed.

Make no mistake, I shall really miss the GT3 - I believe it is the best 911 that Porsche has ever made - but I shall be missing it with my head, my adrenal glands and the pit of my stomach. The 964 I have missed with my heart...

Much has been changed on my car by its new owner, but I'm relishing the task of discovering it again and my 964 project list already runs to numerous pages.

I have not even seen the car anew yet - the international man of mystery known as the Blue Shadow is bringing it home for me on Friday, as its current (no - now former) owner lives close to his secret lair.

Here are a few pics as the car is now.

It's good to be back - there never was a finer group of people than those on Rennlist's 964 Board.

Watch out for Rennlist North Wales Runs coming soon...

Oh - it's going to be a while before this filters through in the Total 911 publishing schedule, so it's just between us for now, okay - don't tell anyone...

John,

I was reading your website earlier today and wondering just how you were going to replace that car. Never did I imagine you'd simply buy it back! Well done, and congratulations.

Cheers,
Dave

Congratulations John. You must have had a premonition about this moment when you let that car go to Roly with THAT number plate on it. I can just imagine your joy when you realised it could be yours again.

Welcome back. We really must get around to getting a 964 meet together more in your neck of the woods.

Regards

Dave

Some of my best driving memory's are seeing a certain white 964 trying to sit right on the tail of THAT red 964 in Wales.

It's starting to feel like this could be a good Porsche summer. Just a quick question JB, now you've rejoined the fold do we let the man from London Village on the all 964 runs with his kettle GT3?
