Sorry - I answered on Yahoo!! I just used a/r as shorthand for anti-roll bar - aka sway bar for our American friends.

Track Control Arms are the ends of the steering rack which attach to the stub axles - often called Track Rod Ends over here.

Oscar Wilde wasn't far wrong when he said something akin to "seperated by a common language" was he??

Never failed here. I always have an MOT done at the time of the service, so my mechanic would always check everything beforehand anyway. I'm off to register the car in France this morning, so no more MOTs for it. I'll now have the Control Technique which is only every 2 years, but double the price!

Mine failed last year on corrosion to the rear of the front tub (mentioned it on here at the time). Cost a lot to fix!

Passed every in last 5 except one occasion where even after the pass the eagle- eyed technician found some serious but hard to spot damage on the tyre sidewall, for which I was very grateful as I'd have missed it

Russ has got it right. The corrosion was found where the front boot floor butts up against the front plastic undertray. I suspect that since the car had been a daily driver in all weathers, road salt had taken its toll. Some skillfull welding prevented me having the entire boot floor cut out and replaced which would have been shockingly expensive.

Yes, just to watch this year. I would have joined you at Donington on Fri 3rd April if I hadn't already booked Oulton on Sat 4th April.
