Default Squeaky fan bearing

Any suggestions on how to lubricate a squeaky fan/motor bearing on the air supply to the interior of a '92 C2?
I have not removed the gas tank on this car and would assume this is a necessary step to get to the fan, but if there are other options, I would appreciate hearing about them.

I assume you are talking about one of the two fans in front of the dash. I replaced both motors recently and it was not hard. You don't have to remove the entire fuel tank, just the evaporator tank on top. I can send or post instructions if it would help.

I'm going to to have to do this job soon - so I'd be really interested in your instructions too.
Cheers

I solved this with lithium grease (WD 40 wont work). If access is difficult a long syringe could help.

Where did you apply the lithium grease? Do you have to pull the fan motor/cage out or can you apply the grease w/o removing the fan/cage?

Apply to the spline at centre , front and back if possible.I managed without pulling it, just sprayed it on,
but a syringe might have been easier in hindsight.

I've also solved (postponed) the problem by lubricating the fans. You really need to pull them out to get the lube into the back bushing. My suggestion is to just replace them. If they are making noise it means they are done.

I picked up the right side from driveline.com for $161.00, and the left side from PAP for $220. That's the lowest I could find. Both were OEM.

What needs to come out before you can get close enough to either replace the fans or get grease onto the spindles?

Can you post a link to the driveline.com reference. Looks like a shipping company there.

Thanks,
