I run 18" Kinesis speedlines on the street and 18" Porsche OEM Turbo twists for track. The speedlines are not good for track in my opinion and are too valuable to risk damaging. Turbo twists are cheap and plentiful and, most importantly, strong. I also agree that oem 17" cup 1's are great for 964's. And they have the added benefit of slightly cheaper tires than the 18" wheels require.

These are stock 965 Turbo wheels 7J+9J 17 55mm, took these out of storage, since a Rennlist member was looking for a set. These wheels are original silver finish, but these pics make them look white.

8 and 10 x 18" turbo twists (265 rears, 225 front), no spacers needed, very nice looking on a polar silver--and easy to clean, too.

17's on the RS Americas (and the previous 964's as well). 18's on the 993's mainly because that's what they came with. I've run my fastest laps with the 993 (~2:01 Thunderhill full track) with the 17's from the RSA, too.
