I use Jongbleod 16" 3-piece wheels. 11" wide up front and 13" wide in the back. Wheel size is dictated by the race class rules for the specified tire. These wheels clear the "big red" brakes with a few millimeters to spare. (I'm quite happy after 3 years of use).

i am running a set of 6/8 16" D90's, but would like to get some 17" Cup 1 or 2's for the summer. Anyone know of any reasonable sources (new or used) in Canada? Shipping from the US seems pretty expensive, and the unpredictable customs fees make an international purchase even less desirable.

Where can I find the Cup 1 replicas? Tirerack does not seem to carry them. They only have Twist replicas. Are the replicas ok for DE use?

Lol...
...mainly for looks, I guess.
After 16 years with the car, you know sometimes I just want a change for awhile...like the steamroller look (run 295's on the back), then other times prefer the stock look.
Nowadays, have some "R" tires on the factory rims for fun.

Wink

The notion of running old old-school 16-inchers I find retro-cool.

...their realities, of course, have me rolling on 17-inchers.

18 Speedlines for me no rubing at all , 6mm spacer at the back , 8 /12 ET 52 on 225 tyre and 10 ET 56 265 tyre R888 , I also have a set of 17 cup's , 7 and 8 205/255 S02 , I prfere the 18" the 17 are slitly more comfortable , the 18 slitly harder took me a lot of time to find the right pressure : 33/36 .

7 and 8 cup 1's OEM - 215 and 255, with 5mm rear spacer with R888's for track

7 and 8 twist replicas with 215 and 255 Conti Sport Contact 3's for road.

Thinking about going for 18's though...

Thanks to everyone that participated in the poll. It looks like 17" are probably the way I'll be going. If anyone has any info on where to find Cup 1 replicas, please let me know. I'll probably start searching for some used Cup 1 OEMs, too.

BTW, do you need longer studs if you're running 5mm spacers?

Thanks!

Try Ebay, or the classifieds.

5mm spacer will be OK with the stock wheel studs.
