Rear Seat Delete Question

Will a 964 rear seat delete/package shelf drop into a 993, or will modifications need to be made?

Thanks

The package shelf from my RS America is currently sitting in a 993 C4S. I believe the guy that bought it from me had to saw off a small piece of plywood off each corner, but other than that it fit in fine.

Bringing this thread back to life:

Does anyone here know the weight savings gained by swapping the standard C2 rear seats for the RSA rear seat delete shelf? Is this worth the effort as the standard seats offer a nice flat shelf anyway? TIA :corn:

The storage bin has to be heavier....but only by a couple pounds. Both use lots of plywood!
I like the hidden storage aspect of the RSA rear seat delete. I guess you'd also have to remove the rear belts..

RSA rear seat delete weighs 18 lbs. according to RS America.net: http://www.rsamerica.net/OEMinfo/Rear_bins/index.htm

I can weigh the luggage dump for you, but I'm guessing it's more substantial than you might guess.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the input here. The storage bin doors are a plus, but probably not enough of one if the weight differential isn't there. Cheers!

it anything, I'd pull the seats and not put anything back there. Better weight savings.
