Default How to remove rear trailing arms ?

I'm trying to remove the rear trailing arms. Going to change some bushings.

On both sides the parking brake wire seems to be a hard nut to crack. How do I get it off ? So far I've been trying from both sides, both push and pull, to no avail. I don't dare use to much "violence" though. Any ideas ??

On the right side I have problems geting to the 12mm allen head on the inside arm. It's so close to the transmission I can't get anything up there. According to the workshop manual there is a special tool (9299 and 9299/1) that looks promising, but they are ment for tiptronics ?? I thought it would be better to do the allen head than seperate the springplate from the trailing arm...
