Default my **** glows in the dark

I finally got around to installing the ICT gearknob, man those old ones are made to STAY on. Poked the wires into the right coloured holes on the back of the switch illumination plug and snapped it all back together.

I'll have to remove it again as the tape I wrapped up top to stop the loose fit wasnt enough...nothing worse than loose boots.
The quality is very good, I'm still not convinced about the aesthetics of straying too from the look of the OEM mushroom. This was the cheaper alternative. I'll see how it wears in.

Heres how it looks, I'll post a night shot later.

I liked the glow in my M5...but I could find the gears without it.

I think it blends in very well. Anything looks better than the stock mushroom head....

Absolutely up to personal taste, but I like the understated design of the original Porsche shift ****. Typically Porsche. These cars came with very little gadgets on them that didn't serve a function. I do agree though the **** pictured above blends very well.

On a side note, my BMW M Coupe had a lighted shift **** from the factory and I never reconnected it after I had to remove the **** to change the boot. I just decided I prefered it without the night light. Again, just personal taste.

Its a 930 turbo wheel Porsche OEM. I bought it from Sierra Madre Collection (no affliation) and make sure you specify it for a 964.

I love it, best thing I ever did.

....and no I didn't move the wheel, we steer on the right, drive on the left here. Not sure if thats what you meant...
