Your local Porsche Centre will be happy to order you part number 964.538.626.00 (for RHD). I had to replace mine (they get kicked very easily) but the design had been changed such that I had to replace the housing body and screws as well. My car is an early 1989 so with a later car it may not be an issue.

Hold it right there Nick -
Where did you get that Steering Wheel?!! Is that really a 930S wheel in gray? Looks great - I think I need one.

Nick,
That just confirms that your car had the old design housing which mated with the expanding nodules on the cover. The new design, as I mentioned above, uses a different housing with embedded threaded inserts into which the new screws screw. You have to remove the handle and re-use it with the new housing.

MitchB, You can still order those steering wheels from Porsche; I think the colour options may be limited though? I have a black one on mine, even though matador Red was available, black seemed better.

Ordering from the Factory will be expensive. I am familiar with the wheel - I've had them on my 930 and on my 951. Have never seen them in anything but black and that really looks good in gray.
Converting will mean losing the airbag, and I have mixed thoughts about that at the moment...

Hi there,
Thanks for the info. I have ordered the following part numbers.
964 538 102 01 ---01c in Satin Black
900 309 009 00 and 900 012 053 00.
999 119 018 02 and 900 223 003 02.
Is it a hard job?
Especially with the handle?
Regards

Nick,
It was a while ago when I did mine but I seem to recall that it was a bit tricky getting the handle connected up and in place. It seemed that once you had located the nipple that holds the cable there seemed no way that you would ever get it out again. It's just a bit fiddly, particularly when you're trying to work down in the footwell!!!
