clutch assembly for 742 HP on the GROUND
Hey guys, I posted a while back and didn't get any serious replys. I know that I don't have a one of a kind. My '91 Carrera, AWD as "reborn" has 742 HP on the ground. Formerly normally aspirated it is now twin turbo, professionally built. I live in Louisville, Ky. and I am looking for a "local" to replace the clutch assembly. What can you guys recommend as the HIPO clutch assembly lasted only 3000 miles on the street. Thanks, TJN/VETTEKILLER

tjn, probably best to ask on the turbo forum. I would think that Tilton or other race clutch companies should be able to make one for you. As suggested, call protomotive or turbokraft.
are you burning up the disc or is the pressure plate slipping? with that kind of hp, you probably want to out of the clutch before applying the right foot.
Herman, pm sent.

I would also agree re: calling Todd. He converted my NA to 550Hp which is on the low end for his work. He does a lot of 800, 1000 hp cars.
So how much fun is 742hp? What was done to get the HP? What else was done to the car?
