THE OFFICIAL 964 SPOTTED THREAD
I just saw a dark 964 a block from my apartment in Manhattan - on Allen & Hester. Looked 100% stock - D90's, flag mirrors, exhaust, etc. I got so excited (never seen one in this neck of the woods) that I decided to start this thread. If you ever see a 964 "in the wild" feel free to post here

964 sightings are getting quite rare. I saw a black 964 conv just yesterday on Philadelphia & Central Ave in Chino, CA

I saw a black 1990 with flag mirrors on Route 1 in North Brunswick N.J....closer to the Princeton area.
I was sitting at the light waiting to cross Route 1 with my white 1990 C2..
I dont see to many 964's on the road anymore....
Not even the 993, or the 996's....I do see a little bit more of the 997's though.
I do see my neighbors 1996 993 almost everyday. God I love that car....

In Richmond, VA I can go weeks without seeing a 911 of any year. Then one sunny day I will see 4 on the way to work (but no 964s). Apparently here they are all garage queens... except for mine!

See nary a one 'round here -- save Flatnose's RSA [the lucky devil!] at monthly club breakfast's.
So I fly the colors sporadically in lonely vigil.
Air kewled is pretty rare -- even on an irregular basis -- this neck of the woods.
Now, Boxsters/Cayennes... (as the saying goes: "can't sling a dead cat without hitting one of them...")

I see four daily,
mine plus a friend's (his wife blames me for that) and two that have been sitting at a dealership for six months (he's asking $30k+ and they're imports from Japan, albeit LHD). Saw a red one a couple of years ago that looked like it had an SUV lift kit but I'm guessing that's the "factory" height!
I see quite a few older SC's and 9-fo-fo's around. Boxters and Cayennes are a dime a dozen.

I see a champagne coloured one here in Oak Bay quite regularly in front of the local Starbucks, and know of a couple in Victoria (one being a stock red C4). Most seem to be tucked away for the summer.

I saw one! -- I saw one! -- I saw one!!!
Toward the end of this afternoon/evening's countryside drive, east of Suffolk, him going west, across from me on a divided highway as I was headed east... A seal gray coupe. She looked pretty nice, too...
And, now for the heinous part of the story:
I was in head-on-swivel mode... letting my guard down... and only caught the last dimming part of his official Porsche-Flash.
My response? [oh, God] It was too short a time for me to think & respond correctly. For the briefest moment, I froze. So in the last moment, I -- oh, the horror! -- gave a MOST-uncool parade queen-worthy, girlie-man wave.
[Silently handing over my Porsche decoder ring to the sergeant-at-arms for an unspecified probationary period.]
If you need me, I'll be in the garage cleaning brake soot from my wheels by q-tip...

We had a guy (Ken Masuda) out here take a new white RSA and do a "Captain America" theme with red and blue stars and stripes all over it. Probably have a picture of it somewhere. On film. What DID we do before digital.......... Alas, that one (a full delete option car, if I remember correctly) met its demise in T4 at Laguna after a backmarker BMW he was about to lap dumped all its oil in front of him when the engine exploded.
