As far as I have seen from Virgin Oil Analysis results M1 15w50 still has an honest 1200 PPM of Zn and plenty of the old additives...Another "off the shelf oil" is Rotella 5w40 Synthetic rated CI-4Plus and loaded with the good stuff...or just use Redline. Honestly, additives are just plain scary and i wouldn't mess with them at all.
