I did a search and have not seen anyone w/my particular issue. I have the rockers reinstalled both sides and on both sides I can't get the last clip next to the shark fin to snap in.

I've used combos of new clips/old clips new plugs/old plugs...its like it just won't go in far enough to snap...its almost like it bottoms out on the clip mounting bits and keeps the clip bulb on the clip from getting far enough into the plug.

Thoughts?

This is also on my list to do. Haven't got around to take them off for respray yet.

OK...here's how I ended up doing it. I took the clip and mounted it on the car. Then I took the rocker and mounted it on the clip. Worked fine. Like I said before...all other clips snapped on no prob, except for these two.

I had difficulty with that clip too. I tried using brand new clips and still struggled. I ended up hitting the rocker panel with a rubber mallet to get it to snap in. And yes, I was careful with the mallet to avoid denting or breaking anything.

I wish I had thought of installing the clip first. Doh!
