The camera has a fairly wide angle lens and you would definitely see another person in the passenger seat if there was one. Especially during the rollover. I believe this video was intended to be an instructional piece but ended up being something completely different

I found the driver of the car (Subaru Legacy) on NASIOC. There are several ancient threads and he seemed pretty unflapped by the whole experience. His insurance even paid for a new car.
