As Alfred mentioned, it varies with light:

Here's a few of the many ruby red pics I have. The color is stunning in person and it's really hard to describe. Photos don't do it justice but here they are anyway

I think you can leave out the word "fast".

My favorite thing about Colin's car is that he consciously chose to put vinyl on it in Barney colors:

I initially had reservations about buying a Rubystone car, but I am really glad I did. It really looks great in person, and is different than the sea of red/white/black and silver cars out there. I would love to having a matching street RS to go with the cup. I've often thought I'd like to get one of each of the "Jellybean" colors.

Talking I'd keep 'em on a jar on my desk, if I could...

+1 re Jellybeans. Maritime blue, Signal Green, something-something Orange, Fly Yellow...

-- Yumeee!

Here's some jellies found at a San Diego dealership (Pioneer) 6 months ago.
Now, granted, it does seem a pity to have wasted such pretty colors on a brace of water-pumpers....

Jelly beans come in black too. Man you can see the lack of speed compared to that Cup.
