Default Brembo Brake Disaster

I was trying to take a frozen bleeder valve off and broke the head off. After much drilling and swearing, I was able to get most of the peices out. However, the threads are now stripped. Is it game over here? Do i need a professional machinist to do something so I can get the bleeder valve back in or do I have to toss the entire caliper?? Any sagely experience here???

Hey there,

Do not panic. You should be able to install a helicoil insert and restore the threads and be able to install a new bleed screw. This will almost surely require removal of the caliper but I don't believe that it is scrap. Any local machinist/race car shop should be able to fix you right up. Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
