Default Clear front lenses - UK

Hi

Had a good route around on the forum and it seems Dansk ones are the ones to go for?

But any recommendations on where to get them from in the UK?

What should I expect to pay? 90 quid seems to be the ball park to do the bumper and the small side squares?

Thanks
Scott

Give Peter Turner a call in 9m Parts, we usually sell these on Ebay for a keen price and he may be able to do you a similar deal. 01925 242342.

Go to 9m (no affiliation) on ebay (where I got mine). Much cheaper.

Thanks - I'll give Peter a call.

I did see them on eBay - £52 I think, which is cheap. But it's strange isn't it, you want a cheap price but then when it comes along you get worried about the quality!!

So, do you know if they are the Dansk ones? Or of comparable quality?

All I can tell you is that they were much better than the 'clear' that were on the car when I bought it.
There are numerous sellers between £50-65 around. £90 is excessive for very simple bits of plastic.

There are a couple of types - some have the white plastic backing that you can see in the side reflectors, whereas the better quality ones have reflective silver backing.

My 9m ones must be the better quality ones then, as they are silver inside! Look much better than the other ones.

Checked with Peter at 9m and they are the Dansk ones, so a good price!

Just the bumper lenses though. The side repeaters are sold separate for £20 !! How can two little rectangles of clear plastic cost so much when you can get 4 larger and more complicated pieces for just £52!?!?

Still cheaper than other sellers though :-)

My complete set (off ebay a while ago) cost about £75 IIRC.

I got the 2 little square side repeaters off ebay for about £8. I bought the ones listed for a VW (exactly the same).

Really?

For any VW, or a particular model?

Here's an example:

Just have a good look and you should find a good quality example for a tenner or less.

I got the whole set of clear lenses incl. the side repeaters & bulbs for Euro 80. (65 for the clear corners alone) ... the Quality is fine... seems to me they are all made by the same manufacturer.
