Default New clutch

Just had a new clutch fitted by Northways. It had just started to slip under full load - not at all when driving 'normally', but occasionally when I floored it in 5th. Anyway, they showed me the bits afterwards and it was down to the rivets and also covered in oil since the gearbox input seal was also shot. They also replaced something called a guide tube and the bill was a grand total of £1149.04

The difference is amazing though - I'd assumed that a heavy clutch was normal, but it feels almost as light as the one on the wife's Yaris now.

Hopefully nothing else will break now for a while so that the credit card can recover - with the clutch and a recent 12k service I've been through my expected £2k annual maintenance costs in 6 months of ownership!

£2k per 6 months, that sounds more like it
