Spring question
I just picked up a set of Bilstein HD's with springs for my '91 964 Cab. The front springs have 2 green stripes, rears have 2 orange stripes. Are these stock springs? If I use them with the HD's, will it lower my car? If not, for street driving should I go with ROW M030 or M033? My goal is to lower it about an inch and a half (max) and replace my stock shocks. Thanks for any help you can give me.

My 964 has a build date of 9-11-90. It probably has the old style rear mounts, but Bilstein only list one rear shock. I'll reuse my rearshock mounts. Adrian's book says the fronts in green are not stock C2 but the list includes Turbo, Turbo look, RS America, and M030 springs. The rears in Orange are listed as stock '91 C2. It looks like I may have a split pair. Can I use them like this? Anyone? Does anyone have a pair of M030's or M033's laying around?

I believe that the change in rear suspension was to accommodate the cabriolets needs, and the coupes were changed so that all body styles, cabs, targas, and coupes used the same suspension components. So I would expect your car to have the later suspension.

I recently replaced my stock setup of my C4 w/ HD's and kept the stock springs... but I shaved .85 off the front springs to get the car down between ROW and RSA. Works real well.
