Default need help installing brake cooling ducts

Can someone give me advise on how to punch a hole for the brake cooling duct on the driver's side. There's that metal plate behind the a/c evaporator that has me befuddled. There doesn't seem to be anyway to remove that piece to cut a notch without dropping the entire a/c. I tried cutting through it with my dremel without much success and I do not want to cutter just for this.

Thanks. That's exactly what I figured I'd have to do but instead I took off the fan over the evaporator and routed the tube that way. It pinches a little behind the wheel well cover but it's ok. This works for me since mine's a track car and my a/c has been disabled and is just ballast. I also found a nice blow apart diagram of the a/c on Pelican that was very helpful in knowing where all the bolts are.
