Baby seats in cab
Hi, click on the flickr link at the bottom to see photos of how I installed the baby seats in my cab.
And here is a photo of my new car
Thanks.

I hate to say it, but if you hit something hard enough your little ones are going hit the back of your seats really hard. I have seen video of how much stretch they build into the car seats restraint system to help absorb so their little bodies do not. I dont mean to rain on your nice work. I have a 4 year old that loves riding in daddy's porsche car. Maybe consider installing a padded "pillow" on the back of the seat just in case?

I hear you but there is no alternative and the seats are in tighter than they would be in a sedan and the distance to the back of the front would be no closer than a small car.
And they would be no closer than a 911 coupe either.

I have rear seat delete so mine is up front with seat all the way back. I figure if we get hit that hard its likely game over anyway. Porsche is a tough car. I am considering a roll bar regardless of how it looks just in case.

Yes. I have disable switch but I am torn because I know the furthest extension of the bag and I dont think he would reach it with how I have the seat locked down and if it was a bad one and he reached it after it expanded the extra cusion might save his life.

Finding a baby seat that would fit wasn't easy.
The top of the seat ahchors down to the steel tube. I know the photo's a bit dark but you can see where I've bolted the attachment plate that the baby seat comes with.
When you put the roof up or down you have to loosen that top strap and lean the seats forward then after the roof has finished moving you retighten the strap.
If the roof padded bar was 10mm furtehr back it would clear the seats.
But I'm happy with the way they fit, there is very little movement of the seats.

i have had 2 car sears in the back of my 91 911 turbo. i like the Pillow idea of some kind. Plus it would help where they are always putting their feet.
Nice set up. it is nice that you are using the car with the family.
