Default Monday updates

So I'm late- kick me if ya want to. I had enough ambition to paint the garage floor this weekend. I parked the Porsche in a neighbor's garage and tackled the job Saturday. I used Sherwin Williams garage epoxy kit, which comes with a cleaner/degreaser, epoxy base and activator. I added Shark Bite non-slip additive rather than the stuff the kit comes with. The color is pewter (light grey) and I like it a lot.

Here's the finished product- I still have to do the back corner, but I needed a place to store the other stuff.

What did you do this weekend?

Looks good Geoff. How about coming down to do mine
I finished the stucco on one end of the house, painted my tractor/canoe, junk barn at my property and played toy cars with some friends. My cousin opened up my beach house in Virginia so ready to head up there for a few days towards the end of April!

Fly me down Jim- it'll only take a day to prep/paint, then we can play toy cars!

On Sunday, I raised my engine/tranny in the car. I hope to have the car on the road in the next two weekends. I had dropped the engine to replace the clutch in January. The project has been very enlightening. I was amazed at how much oily dirt accumulates in 17 years.

By the way, I have a painted garage floor too. I love it.

Talking Happy Birthday

Today is my C4's birthday. Happy sweet 16. Celebrated with an oil change, and installation of a rebuilt distributor. No more worring about the belt breaking!

Geoff - floor looks great! I'd be curious to hear how it lasts. I was considering the one peice roll-out flooring stuff from Costco.

They had brick red, but that's not Porsche colors either, and it's just tacky!

stripped the front bumper, all covers underneath and wheel arch liners off. Dropped front bumper and ducts to bodyshop to get sprayed. Sanded and painted calipers in Red (not great but will do for now).
Ordered all new stainless screws and speed nuts for reassembly.
Sanded tar from arch covers and just debating whether to spray black or red.
Fixed the headlight washers (loose plug)
Took the dog back to the vet as he's snapped a recently fixed cruciate ligament.

oh nice way to "one up me" on the garage. Nice shot though.

As for the badge, I'm still waiting for my neighbor's version of the badge for the wall. He's got access to large scale printers.
